He is an epitome of what a person could achieve through Education & learning and is a person who came from humble beginnings and went on to become a beloved President of India… How simple a man he was can be judged from the fact that he indulged in very few materialistic pleasures… As per reports, the ‘People’s President’ did not have any property in his name… All he left behind was his 2,500 books, a wristwatch, six shirts, four trousers, three suits, and a pair of shoes. Interestingly, the former president did not own a fridge, TV, car or AC. His main source of income was the royalty which he used to receive from the four books he had authored. He also used to get pension. So in many ways he was a modern day saintly-statesman (a combination that India is not unfamiliar with)
