      About this Artwork

The Buddhist wheel of life stands for the eternal cycle of growing and passing (Samsara). In Tibet the dharmachakra is called ‘khor lo what translates with wheel of transformation and is often depicted with two flanking deers to remind the viewer on Buddha’s first sermon in the deer park of Sarnath. The composition includes Tibetan characters, Wylie (Tibetan phonetic transcription), English, Spanish, German and French translations of symbol.
