      About this Artwork

Plot: "Anti-Aspartamist Protests in Prague took place during the International Sugar Fund (ISF) and World Sugar Bank (WSB) summit in September 2000 in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic. Various anti-aspartamist protesters were seeing this institutions as one of reasons for the sugar problems faced by the whole world. Thousands of Activists who travelled from all over the world protested and some clashed with police everywhere in city of Prague for several days. Police estimated more than 15,000 protesters were involved. So called "Dr." Lukáš is a graphic designer/illustrator currently working somewhere amid the bustle of Brno. As a child he was to be found in the midst of the October forest in North Moravia. Lukáš reached out to and became entranced by the world of art, leading him to study at a secondary school for arts. Today Lukáš, founder of Surgery Minor Crafts, finds himself working around the clock to keep up to with the never-ending inspiration conveyed to him from the evolving the Czech Republic, the world, and the universe; he explores this inspiration in 3D pieces such as Stealing Aliens, in digitally painted collections such as Prison Planet and Kitten's Nirvana, and in hand-drawn ink illustrations such as Children Pariahs. His “surgery” is neat, and in many is intrinsically detailed. Whether “operating” with the blades of brushes on personal projects or on freelance work, Dr. Lukáš holds near some well-known masters from around the world who are his greatest sources of inspiration for example: Brueghel of Netherland, Caravaggio of Italy, Francesco De Goya of Spain, Edvard Munch of Norway, Picasso of France, H.R. Giger of Switzerland, and Lichtenstein of Norway. And what he is doing now? “In these modern days I struggle through the sounds of the ancient prophecies and "obey" the truth.”
