Hedgehog's dilemma refers to a challenge of human intimacy where two people cannot be together without one of them unintentionally hurting the other, similar to how hedgehogs group together to rely on body heat during the cold winter but cannot get too close to each other for fear of getting stuck with their sharp spines.
