About this Artwork
This work is a digital collage, composed by still frames, taken from "Un Chien Andalou" / "El perro Andaluz", a silent surrealist short film, The film was a collaborative project between Luis Buñuel and artist Salvador Dalí, in their young years. The still frames were taken by me, many years ago, and I recently found them back, when ordering and checking my archives.
=====
I have an enormous amount of photos, taken by me, over the years. Despite the fact that I've been taking photos since I was a child, I've never considered myself a photographer. Because I never set my goal to make a living out of it. But I stored many ideas, I enjoyed discovering and experimenting different ways to express myself..
I had my own photo lab and developed the photos like a pro, in the (still) film camera era (the '90). I've recently found that - using my photos and combining digital work with my drawings or paintings, suits me perfectly. And, this formula actually allows me the freedom to express in a wider range of mediums.
