      About this Artwork

Theia (pronunciation: /θiːə/) is a hypothesized ancient planetary-mass object in the early Solar System that, according to the giant impact hypothesis, collided with another planetary-mass object, Gaia (the early Earth) around 4.51 billion years ago.[1][2] According to the hypothesis, Theia was an Earth trojan about the size of Mars, with diameter of about 6,000 km (3,700 miles). Geologist Edward Young of the University of California, Los Angeles, drawing on an analysis of rocks collected by Apollo missions 12, 15, and 17, suggests that Theia collided head-on with Earth,[3] in contrast to the previous theory that suggested a glancing impact. Models of the impact propose that Theia's debris gathered around Earth to form the early Moon. From a collection of works before my exhibition in Taiwan. 2011 was a year that featured a new abstract freeform style in my journey as an artist. Using the forces of texture, gravity and coloured drama to new a few. My experience working with Da Xiang Gallery in Taichung was monumental in my career. At the time I was living in Brisbane amongst the Woolstores in the Cotton Co-operative building. Teneriffe is a beautiful inspiring place to live, I was fortunate to live on the river with a large studio with a lot of light and fresh air. An artists dream location.
