About this Artwork
Born 1743 in Gloucester, England. Died 1889 in Berlin while participating in a glorious Champagne party at the opening of the Natural History Museum. He was always struggling to find answers to all sorts of scientific questions. His biggest quest in life though was the Holy Grail of science itself: immortality. The photograph you can see here was taken right before his unnatural death. That means he was already 146 years old. Could it be that his studies had been successful?
