Une légende amérindienne raconte qu’une araignée protégeait les enfants de la tribu en tissant sa toile au dessus de l’endroit où ils dormaient. Les mauvais rêves restaient accrochés et étaient brûlés aux premiers rayons du soleil. La tribu grandît et l’araignée demanda aux femmes de l’aider dans sa tâche.
