About this Artwork
Map of the city of Madrid, capital of Spain. Its old town is located in the southwest of the setting bounded by Station of Atocha to the South and Plaza de Castilla to the North.
The modern expansion of the city relies on a great South North axis constituted by the Paseo del Prado, Paseo de Recoletos and the Paseo de la Castellana.
To the West of the set is observed the thalweg of the river Manzanares accompanied by green spaces: Madrid Río, del Moro gardens, the Garden City and the Dehesa de la Villa. The Retiro Park is located to the East of the old town.
