About this Artwork
This fun and colorful print would brighten any dark corner of the walls of your home, apartment, condo, office or studio.
We begin by choosing an icon and taking several photographs to use as sketches for the final print. Then we create the original image as a drawing or manipulated photo. When we are both happy with the image, we scan the drawing or photo into an Apple computer, manipulate it using art software. Then it is layered with a retro, vintage service station tourist map. The final step is adding the "You Are Here" logo graphic onto it's spot-on map location.
Our collaborative process is the foundation of our work. We have been working together on images for over 30 years. Because there are two of us to please, the final images have to meet the approval of both of us.
