      About this Artwork

So I born… in Athens some years ago. My parents usually were in the same place, office (airport) or house. My father in his free time was reading on the PC, my Mom was drawing in front of the TV. It was a time full of real things, magazines, books, card postals, paintings, posters, even the computer screen was 19inches and the weight was around 2 kilos. My Mom was drawing… everyday one landscape, usually from card postals. And she was giving the drawings to her friends as a gift. One night my father said to my Mom, “this is our son’s legacy”, my mom said that there is no way her drawings to be important as a legacy. And she continue drawing. I saw them getting old and trying to not move. That's why I bought my bike. To be able to move… all the time, everywhere. The years past by, the 90’s became a past. My mom stopped drawing. And they bought a big TV screen that weights less than a kilo. They have many things...real things, magazines, books, card postals, paintings, posters, even the the computer screen that is 19 inches. And they always complain about my bike. It’s not safe enough, they are right. But is the only real thing. We made a world that forgot reality. I work with that. We are creating fake reality… professionally. So one day the electricity in my house was off. My fake reality was gone in seconds. So I met my wife. That was so real that my fake reality was a past… in seconds. I understand the difference of Having things, and the old way, giving things. And I remembered my mother's drawings. I tried to find them. I found two old photocopies. I ask my Mom to start drawing again. She said why not, better to watch the big TV screen that weights less than a kilo. And here we are...
