      About this Artwork

The God of The Dead Mictlantecuhtli also known as The Wander wore a crown of owl feathers and could take the form of a owl. He would wander the night because at night when the other gods were blind to the darkness he could see everything in bright colors Anything that appeared black would be brought to sacrifice at the alter. This story is both off both facts and my imaginative interpretation of why he wore the owl feather
