About this Artwork
I had the color combination blue-violet and orange-red on my mind and remembered reading about Van Gogh's "Starry Night" as a visual model for the concept of Turbulence in Physics. This made me think of Joni Mitchell's song "Turbulent Indigo". I guess with all that bouncing through my mind, I was bound to do something with the night sky. In this case, it starts off with frenetic activity of a city, which starts to burst into chaos. Entropy, chaos and motion reign through the work and take over as the focus from the night sky. 12/2014.
