      About this Artwork

      This piece is a digital collage meant to represent the comfort of indigenous West African peoples before the trans-atlantic slave trade. The body is in a fetal position, suspended above an ocean by supportive hands. The body is adorned with pieces of the sub-Saharan landscape, representing their symbiosis with nature. This piece also won the 4th district congressional art competition. Created on Photoshop in early 2017
