About this Artwork
The jian sword (in Chinese: 劍) is the straight blade weapon par excellence of the Chinese people. Moderately long, double-edged and practically without a cross, it has been used historically since the second millennium BC. C. Jian are brandished on one hand, but there are two-handed versions. It is one of the four great weapons of the martial arts of China, along with the dao, the qiang and the gun, known in this group as the "Knight of all weapons".
