      About this Artwork

...Down the rushy glen, we dare not go a-hunting, for fear of little men. This is a rendition of the pagan Scottish deity Nicnevin, who is Queen of the Unseelie Court of Alba, and Quene of Elphame. She is the faerie goddess of the hunt and weaving. And, for some reason, geese.
