      About this Artwork

A subject stands in the far left corner, whose lack of prominence pushes the surrounding landscape to the foreground. The subject is almost an afterthought, which coincides with their connection to their surroundings. I took this photo at the mouth of Nahal Hadera where it flows into the Mediterranean Sea. It was on a Friday night, at the beginning of winter. A number of fishermen gathered along the coast. Some went into the sea in an attempt to catch the fish. The twilight and the movement of the waves gave the place a magical atmosphere.
