      About this Artwork

This is my take on the Dune universe. Im a big fan of the original Frank Herberts novel, but above all David Lynchs Dune is the movie that really made me love the steampunk artwork concept style. Actually this illustration now, is a mix of those influences with another big inspiration of mine, the european comics "Valerian" by Mezieres and Pierre Christin; my version for the Dune sandworm here not only was inpired by the classic Lynch movie design, but i took a little bit of something which is present in a 1972 comics album of the adventures of Valerian, namely the city that rests on the back of the alien creature that roams the desert planet.
