About this Artwork
this piece explores the conditions of the Syrian people who have migrated from their country due to the conditions of war in Syria beyond their will, which continue to this date. Their thoughts are always on their country and the neighbourhoods which they have left behind, and have been destroyed by the war. Yet, their beautiful image remains in their minds.
The shadows reveal hope in the future; that our countries will be rebuilt once more.
