The rock wren is a small bird that lives in Southern Alps of the South Island, New Zealand. These cute little birds are rare. It is quite a treat to see one. I have draw this bird using Koru design (Koru are common in Maori artwork and carvings. It symbolizes and unfurling silver fern and represents new life). Piwauwau is the Maori name for this cute little bird.
