These aquatic Ecliptians are known for their hypnotic songs and can lure friend and foe alike into an enchanted trance. Sirens get a bad reputation for drowning sailors, this is not so, Sirens don’t actively drown sailors, they’re more interested in their cargo, drowning is simply happenstance. Sirens can transform into a bipedal humanoid “ehta” as most Ecliptians can, however, Sirens cannot be out of the water for long and will suffer withdrawals. For this reason, Sirens do not venture onto land often, and certainly not into the inland cities. Because of this, Sirens are highly curious about the world above the waves, and this insatiable curiosity causes them to lure sailors’ ships to the rocks so that they can harvest the goods and keep up to date on the trends and happenings of the dry world. If you ever hear a siren song while out on the waters, throw something shiny or valuable into the depths while you still have your wits about you and you might just silence the siren call.
