The tender wait There are so many facets to the physical term <await or waiting>. One of these is the patience, the long wait of all the hopeful people we read about in the daily newspapers of their long and patient wait to immigrate to some new land where life has a brighter, better and a more humane promise for the future of their children and are not condemned to go through the same painful trials in life that they themselves had to endure. So, my inspiration came not from the physical act but the sentiments that accompanied this forlorn hope born out of the affection for their loved ones. Armed with my new media tools I set about making an engraved image of this emotion.
