About this Artwork
Originally done in wire stapled to a board, I wove the wire around "intuitively" as I've heard other artists describe themselves, then added paint, both acrylic and encaustic (yes, it sticks well). The wire was colored with alcohol inks.
Having done and sold wire sculptures before (people, horses, birds), doing a painting this way gave me a chance to express my certain level of expertise in several mediums at once (although I am convinced anyone who really wants to can learn how to do any of this.)
