Picture of a minimalist blue landscape of a dock next to a beautiful calm lake. There are some leafy trees and hazy mountains in the the scene. The landscape is reflected on the water. This photograph was taken in New Zealand. The story behind this idyllic and peaceful image was, at least quite stressful to me. The wooden dock was literally infested with hundred of sandflies. For those who doesn’t know, sandflies in New Zealand are quite a biter. So I had to plan a strategy in order to get this picture: 1- Spray my skin: Face, arms, neck, with some repelent for sandflies. 2- Get out of the car. Open and close the door very fast to prevent some of them getting inside the vehicle. 3- Go quickly to the point where to get to see the best views. 4- Take at least like 100 pictures. Very fast, multiples point of views and avoiding thinking too much. 5- Run back to the car. Very fast. Time elapsed: less than 3 minutes. Achieved goal! Now I hope you like the picture! No pressure.
