About this Artwork
Mashugana it is a yiddish term used as an exclamation to describe something as crazy or bizarre. My Grandma (a Polish, who lived on East of Poland before 1945 - now is Ukraine) used to call me this. Yes, I was a so stereotactically behaving kid :o). So, I decided to call my third part of "HENS' TRIPTIC- the black-green rooster with shine of craziness in his eyes Mashugana. â–ºThe whole triptic is a digital, 3-part large format painting, which is an apotheosis of those living creatures, who have not the easiest life on mother Earth. You must admit, than in every culture hens have a bad PR (even cows are saint in India - chicken are only woodoo victims at least). In my country stayed at home mums are called "domestic hen" and believe me - this is not a compliment. SO I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM ALL BACK THEIR DIGNITY! How? I did, what I do best - I painted those happy, loving, playful, curious hens with all my wits, talents and the best PS brushes ;o]
