About this Artwork
This is one of the volcanic summits in New Zealand. It was photographed in a day hike. The mountain and the crater lake were intermittently shaded by the rapidly changing weather at that altitude. At that moment when the shutter was pressed, the clouds opened up a narrow crack to allow some sunlight to shine on a slope of the snowy mountain.
