      About this Artwork

The rising flood waters rush to devour all that lies in their path For me, an amusing French expression is (are we be walking on our heads!). All of us are seeing the dry spells with their wild forest fires, in some of these places it was the hurricanes, other places the snowstorms and then there are those with the prolonged rains and the devastating floods rushing in. The results were untold hardships accompanied along with the associated miseries. The region where I live also had its share of the climatic inspired catastrophes and here it was the floods. The waters did not spare anything that came in their way. If the older residents who had experienced this earlier showed a resigned calm, there was the panic of the newcomers for whom this was a new and unexpected encounter. It was this mixture of feelings that incited me to use the digital form with subdued colours and the hazy forms to depict the uncertainty that whirled around me like an invisible cloud.
