This limited edition Disk, designed by Plaid Design, comes with a numbered and signed certificate of authenticity. Printed on a .045” thick aluminum sheet, this print is crisp, high gloss, lightweight, and water resistant. It comes with a proprietary 1/2" aluminum shadow mount allowing for easy installation.
Finally, Star Wars gets the Mod Pop Art treatment! What took me so long? Too many options! I mean, where does an artist even start with all the possibilities? Well, the answer, for me, is right here: You start at Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, my first crush (and the first crush of every boy my age). Little did I know at the time that the reason she was my first crush was not just because she was pretty, but because she was a badass. A strong, empowered woman who took no crap, got her hands dirty on the battlefield, and never leaned on her "princess" title to gain any advantage. And these qualities grew through each film, all the way through the third trilogy as General Organa. My goal was to honor Carrie/Leia in a piece that hopefully captures her spirit while adding a little something extra in the way of a psychedelic color scheme (because you know I can't resist) and a classic Plaid-style color gradient background with a little semi-hidden twist.
