Kurt Cobain was an American musician and artist, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Nirvana. Cobain is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, and is often cited as one of the key figures in the grunge movement of the early 1990s. following the success of Nirvana's 1991 album Nevermind, Cobain became uncomfortable with the band's newfound fame, and his struggles with heroin addiction and depression led to his untimely death at the age of 27.
