Each colored dot in this piece represents a letter of the alphabet. Taken in order from left to right and top to bottom, the letters these dots represent spell the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution. The multi-colored dots also are a representation of the various ethnicities and backgrounds of the American people, and how they all come together to form the backbone of the American nation.
