Stranded at the bar, the tryst did not come . . . So many of us have encountered this very particular kind of sensation of your being left high and dry at least once. That is the one time when the person for whom you were waiting for did not come and you kept shifting from one leg to the other continually looking at your watch wondering if that person’s absence was deliberate or just some unexpected delay at the very last minute. Should one order another drink or just simply walk away since the rendezvous agreed upon had been for some 2 hours earlier. Such an emotion is difficult to portray in a drawing if you personally did not undergo a similar experience.
