      About this Artwork

Wild cat is surprised before eating bird prey It was like a horror story that has come true. This year also for my holiday I decided to go on a solo hiking trip in the mountains with the idea that a little bit of quiet solitude far from the stress and the city noises, in the crisp mountain air, the hike would help me to revive a new creative inspiration which had been showing a blank in my imagination since a few days. It was during that hike in the deserted countryside and while I was breathlessly clambering along on my way through all the scattered rocks and windblown bushes that then behind a tree stump and almost invisible to the non-attentive hiker, I came upon this wild cat about to make a tasty snack of the little bird that it had just caught. Although not yet dead but then too frightened to try to fly away the bird would flutter its wings in terror while every two minutes the cat would put out a playful paw and stroke it so that it would endeavour to get up and fly away. The cat seemed to be surprised that the bird still had the force left in its little body that it was able to continue its painful struggle.
