The frantic dash to freedom “This is not the era of war “these were the words of a political leader at a recent conference. The war in Ukraine overshadows the western world while the plight of the refugees trying to flee the chaos in their respective countries, the reports of these events are now delegated to the background in the daily news. The recent publication of news articles in the press about these refugees fleeing across the open seas in their flimsy boats inspired this print of a person desperately trying to swim to a new world of hope and success. The frenetic dash to an illusionary life of freedom where once again they could breathe free air. I chose the new media medium to show the flurry of reckless movement.
