When I was envisioning this piece, I wanted to explore the relationship between humanity and the environment, and the idea of finding harmony between the two. That's why I chose to depict the spaceship in this way - it's as if the natural world is reclaiming the technology, showing that we can coexist with nature rather than trying to conquer it. I hope that as you view this piece through the window, you get a sense of peering into an otherworldly habitat, one that is both futuristic and organic.
