Not sure if it is true or not, but i have heard that producers of TV version of Witcher wants to change race of main characters of books and game into african or asian. To me it is sounds really stupid, because game and books both based on ancient scandinavian and european folklore mixed with the greatest philosophy (Christianity) which has been conceived in Egypt, but has been born in Rome along with start of formation of greatest evil ideology (fascism). Yeah, the ancient Rome was a place where greatest Good was near the biggest evil. Anyhow if rumors are true and they really would like to put some asian and african characters into a story i cannot see why not to make them russians?! It will be much more logical because russian nation has been created as mix of scandinavian, slovianic and ugro finnish tribes, which has been conqured by The Golden Horde, and the most admired russian poet (Pushkin) is black (has african roots). So dear Netflix, if you really want to look tolerated, but also be reasonable, russian Geralt and Ciri it could be the best choice for you...
