      About this Artwork

Originally done in wire stapled to a board, I wove the wire around "intuitively" as I've heard other artists describe themselves, then added paint, both acrylic and encaustic (yes, it sticks well) and then embedded d a few little groups of Angelina metallic fibers. The wire was colored with alcohol inks and a few flat discs of mother of pearl were added as well as some small gold round discs. As shown here, it has been digitized meaning that I added more color with a mouse, specifically rose, turquoise and purple. This particular mixed media seemed to combine my certain level of expertise in sewing, sculpture, painting and jewelry which probably means I was near ecstasy as I was creating it.
