David is a branding /editorial designer based out of Monterrey. The ambition to create art was instilled in David by his parents at a very young age. His father has a print company and his mother is an art lover, and was often drawing and making t-shirts for friends. David is currently working as multimedia/graphic designer, managing websites, and creating interactive multimedia courses at DeAcero, a Mexican steel company. David says his main source of inspiration is Salvador Dali, “a genius, a totally different person from who I learned a lot.” He also loves surrealism, his favorite artistic movement. At the moment David showcases his work in a gallery in Monterrey, but has future dreams of his own studio and/or working for brands such as MTV or VH1. Already with two publications in Format First, this young artist is already on his way to realize his dreams. However, David isn’t focusing on only his future, but on the future of other Mexican designers as well. He encourages all to see what they are creating- “there’s a lot of talent that hasn’t been discovered yet”.
