About this Artwork

The abandoned garden bench in a summer downpour It was raining heavily and walking across the park. I was hurrying to get home before the rainwater completely soaked my clothes, I came across this old garden bench cove red with the leaves and overgrown grass drenched by the heavy downpour. At first an ordinary sight but then I remembered it when I got home and what it looked like in that rain. The water raining down on the wet bench and the overgrown grass that covered it, all of it was a hazy image brimming with life. The sensation of wanting to reach out but I was holding back by the dampness of everything. There was this challenge at the translation of this feeling that I was looking at a living object but which at the same time was sitting there like an old person who time and life that have left behind them in the past that has gone by.
