About this Artwork
This is a high quality digital painting of a classic 1953 Buick Convertible from my my own photography. The painting took a bit longer than average. I tried various techniques with the background to develop a sense of space without bringing in too much detail. I want these paintings to be set in more generalized spaces that evoke rather than identify locations. That is however, Meadow Brook in the background where the car was featured in the 2011 Concours d'Elegance. I know its ironic putting a Buick in front of the estate of one of the Dodge brothers.
